Alexandra and the Hare is an illustrated story about a little girl who is fascinated by wildlife. Alexandra encounters a Brown Hare (a real hare… not a talking one!) when out walking one day. She follows and watches the hare throughout a whole year, learning how it lives and survives through the four seasons. The story is accompanied by factual information about hares and aims to encourage children to learn and care about the natural environment around them.
